Kuzma Minin (?-1616) He was born in the end of the 16th century, in Balakhna. He was a merchant, together with tne Prince Dmitry Pozharsky became a national hero in struggle of Russian people against the Poland invaders. The central square of Nizhny Novgorod was named after Kuzma Minin.
