What is an Article?

An article is typically written for publication (magazine/newspaper/website).
It should be engaging, informative and opinion-based so the reader stays interested.
Unlike an essay: articles tend to be more informal, speak directly to the reader, may include contractions & everyday expressions.

Structure of the Article
Title – catch readers’ attention; gives idea of main topic.
Introduction – start interestingly (with a question, a fact, or a direct address).
Body (usually 2-3 paragraphs) – develop ideas, answer task questions, give examples.
Conclusion – wrap up in interesting way (summary, recommendation, call to action).

Identify key questions/points you must answer in the task.
Identify the topic.
Brainstorm vocabulary and ideas relating to the topic to prepare before writing
