The aim of the study is to investigate the biography of the greatest person of our Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). the national teacher Mikhail Andreevich Alekseev.

Actuality is that there in all over the Republic was the centenary of the national teacher Mikhail Andreevich Alekseev. In the memory of this great person there is holding a systematic work such like pedagogical readings, scientific conferences.

He was born on 5th May in 1917 in the Bappagainskiy village of Vilyuiskiy district. He remained an orphan when he was 6 years old.

At the age of 11 he entered the boarding school of the Gyokkon heritage of the Vilyuisky district.
He was very capable and soon became the best pupil of the school

He graduated Yakut pedagogical technical school in 1936. He was appointed of teacher of physics and mathematics in Rodchevskiy seven-year school of Srednekolumskiy district
In 1939 he entered to physics and mathematics faculty of Ryazanskiy national pedagogical institute.
He was in the second Great World War
There he was secretary of Komsomol committee of the field engineers battalion. He survived a fascist and Soviet prison. In 1956 he was completely rehabilitated by Military tribunal.

In 1974, the Verkhnevilyuysk secondary school No. 2 (now the MA Alekseev Lyceum) received the status of a republican school with an in-depth study of the basics of physics and mathematics.







In 1990 it received the status of the Republican Gymnasium.

. On the life and activities of MA. Alekseev wrote several books, a play was staged in the Sakha Theater based on the play "Teacher" by V. Vasilyev-Kharyshal.
A man of very difficult fate. Passing through the fascist captivity, unjust conviction and Stalin's camps, he did ‘t break down, but became an outstanding teacher.

Kulakovsky, the Order of the Patriotic War II degree, an honorary citizen of the Viluisky ulus. The State Prize of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) named after M.A. Alekseeva in the field of pedagogy
Michail Andreevich Alekseev is a soviet teacher, Methodist, public teacher of the Soviet union (1982), high-achiever of the National education of the Soviet union, teacher emeritus of The Yakut Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic and Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic. He is the founder of the first school specializing in physics and mathematics. Michail Alekseev was an initiator and inspirer of physics and mathematics movement in Republic, the reformer of it, innovator of profile teaching in 1960.
