H. G. Wells was a famous writer. He wrote lots of books, for example The War of the Worlds and The Time Machine. These books are still popular today. In 1938, Orson Welles made a radio programme based on The War of the Worlds. A lot of people thought it was real news and they were very scared. Today, H. G. Wells is still one of the most important science fiction writers in history.
