Transform SA Magazine 35
In this edition of Transform SA Magazine, we talk to Dr. Vathiswa Papu-Zamxaka, the Deputy Vice Chancellor of the Tshwane University of Technology. Dr. Vathi as she is affectionately known has a story of perseverance and victory. She navigated trials and tribulations on her way to greatness. A scientist by profession, born and bred in the dusty streets of the Eastern Cape, Njwaxa village, she has beat the odds to achieve excellence in education with qualifications from countries such as Sweden and the United Kingdom. This a true story of triumph. It reminds the girl child that it is possible. It reminds the black child that it is doable and shows the world once more that Africa is alive with abundant talent and intellect. We also look at the question of water shortage in South Africa.
