Monograph of L.G. Skorodumova is dedicated to the analysis of historical roots, continuity of traditions, features of the development of Mongols’ narrative prose of XIX-XX centuries, that is based on not only oriental poetics’ tradition, but also on the European literature. The author shows the poetics of Mongolian literature, its components like genre, plot, style and artistic means by a lot of examples of different works and materials. The book is a result of the author’s work of last twenty years. By its content the book belongs to Mongolian philology.
