PAX Spring Hill College's Peace and Justice Magazine Spring 2023

This Spring 2023 edition of PAX focuses on the exciting work done by freshmen in our college’s Pathways Seminars this past semester. Over the course of seven weeks, students explored themes of identity and purpose through sustained attention to a single work of fiction, poetry, drama or literary nonfiction. Not only did they delve into the text’s ideas and themes but they also looked to build a learning community open to investigating the ethical and moral implications of the text for their lives. This edition contains the results of this investigation, providing outstanding examples of both textual analysis and reflective writing. I was impressed by the clarity, insight, and candor of each student’s work. I found their writing both intelligent and enriching. I am certain readers of this new edition will as well.
