Образуется при помощи вспомогательного глагола to be в Present Perfect (have been, has been) и формы –ing смыслового глагола.

Действие началось в прошлом, продолжается до настоящего времени, и, возможно, продолжится в будущем.
I’ve been doing my work for three weeks. –
Я делаю мою работу уже три недели.
Т.е. я делал и продолжаю делать.
2. Действие завершилось недавно или только что. I’ve been looking for you a whole hour.
Я вас ищу (уже) целый час.
Я вас искал, но теперь нашел, поэтому больше не ищу. Действие завершилось только что.
