Some words are followed by the GERUND.

Some words are followed by the INFINITIVE.

E.g.: to do

      ●  After verbs that express likes/dislikes:      
            
like, love, enjoy
dislike, hate
don't mind, can't stand

●  After verbs that  refer to a future event :
