Gearbox
The gearbox is designed for smooth and even distribution of the torque element. The gearbox includes several gears, which are controlled by a lever. The coupling element between the gearbox and the engine is the clutch. The constantly rotating crankshaft is engaged with the primary shaft of the gearbox. And the clutch allows you to disconnect and connect these elements, which makes movement happen.

Manual gearbox
The principle of operation of a mechanical gearbox is more or less clear: the driver manually switches gears, creating various combinations of gears. The drive shaft is connected to the engine crankshaft through the clutch, the connection to the driven shaft is not fixed. The desired pair of gears is selected using the forks of the control mechanism. Drives, clutches, and sliders move with the handle. The gear selection mechanism is installed in the transmission, on the steering wheel or in the body.

Automatic gearbox:
When operating in upshift mode (four-speed gearbox), the transmission automatically selects the gear corresponding to the speed of the car and the position of the gas pedal. With slow acceleration, gear changes occur at lower speeds than when you press the accelerator pedal to the end. When you press the gas to the floor, the box switches to a lower gear.

По сути, она представляет собой механическую КП с электронным блоком управления, осуществляющим выключение и включение муфты сцепления и переключения передач.
При управлении роботизированной КПП водитель, как и в автоматике, просто переводит селектор в необходимый режим, а переключение передач производит электронный блок. Также производители авто сохранили возможность перехода в ручной режим.
