The 8th of March is the International Women's Day. It is a happy and nice holiday. It is a good tradition to give presents and flowers to women on this day.

History of the holiday
The first national Women’s Day was observed on 28 February 1909 in the United States.
In August 1910 German Socialist Luise Zietz and communist Clara Zetkin proposed the establishment of an annual “International Woman’s Day”.
On 19 March 1911, International Women’s Day (IWD) was celebrated for the first time.

first International Women’s Day on the last Sunday in February. The Women’s Day was established an official holiday
in the Soviet Union, but was a working day until 1965.
